COVID-19 Update-Suspension of ALL On-Campus Activities
Suspension of On-Campus ministry activities through Saturday, April 4 As we all keenly feel, these are extraordinary times for our world and in the United States. We know our present lives are both in the hands of our Creator and they are fragile, even as James reminds us (4:14-15) What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” Nonetheless, we are to handle our lives with wisdom, that we might continue to serve the Savior and His gospel in this world. To that end, we’ve decided to suspend all on-campus ministry activities though the first Saturday of April, April 4. We want to thank the many of you who have weighed in on the matter of our church family body-life. Thank you for praying and for expressing the wisdom the Lord has given you. This appears to be the safest course of action for all concerned. Christ Community STAYING CONNECTED – we urge you to stay connected with your Christ Community Church family in the following ways:
Take in our live-streamed Catalyst worship services each of the following Sundays (March 15, 22, and 29) at 9:00 AM and then again at 10:45 AM (Watch LIVE). Tomorrow’s REACH Sunday is an important day for us, as we understand how the Spirit of God is urging us to “reach” both locally and around the world. And beginning March 22, our WORTHY: Worship the Lion Slain as a Lamb Easter series begins from Revelation 4-5.
Faithfully continue your worship in stewardship – as you may know, the Lord’s supply through you in this 2019-2020 ministry year has been incredible. Your faithfulness has put our ministry in the best position it’s been for 15 years. Though we will not physically meet together for worship in the weeks to come, your faithfulness in giving either through sending gifts in the mail (5501 George Washington Carver, Ames IA 50010) or through online giving (Give HERE) is a critical step to this continued ministry health. Thank you!
Our Church Offices will be open and staffed during the week as per their normal hours (Monday – Thursday, 8:00 – 5:00 PM)

We will do our best to keep you informed should national and regional developments suggest a change of plans. BEING PRAYERFUL, EMBRACING HUMILITY These are days where we who believe in and follow the Savior can exhibit a unique trust in the Lord. It is fitting that we pray dependently for one another and for our neighbors, indeed for our world. In Matthew 6, Jesus himself reminds us none of us can add any length to our life through stress and worry, and assures us that our Heavenly Father’s care continues to attend each of us in His family each moment of every day. Let’s also pray thankfully for those in the medical arts community who are working hard to serve our physical needs and keep us safe. We’re reminded that the author of ¼ of the New Testament (i.e., Luke) was a medical doctor, often attending to the Apostle Paul’s physical needs during the days of his ministry. So many of you are health professionals. How we praise God for you, and thank you for giving us and our community your best during these days. Finally, let’s pray humbly to a God who calls us to himself in the good times and in the times of challenge. He can be trusted with our lives, and even through this time of crisis and caution, is seeking to produce His son’s character in us (cf. Romans 8:28-30).
