Serve News…

Happy new year! This year, are you considering how you can care about our community? Do you wonder if there are ways that the church can speak truth and offer help and healing here in Ames?

If you are looking for more conversation and encouragement about how to pursue common good while holding out the uncommon news of Jesus to your coworkers, neighbors and families, we have an opportunity for you! Last November we had four sessions where we learned about many issues that impact people in our community. We had many agencies come in to talk about housing insecurity, unplanned or crisis pregnancy, sex trafficking, and resource insecurity. Join us for another Local Matters session on Sunday January 14 from 10:45am-12pm in Gather 2. This single-session will include interviews, Biblical principles, and engagement content from the Good For All Conferences previously hosted by our sister EFCA church—Valley Church in West Des Moines.

Sign up today and invite someone who may have missed out on our last gatherings.

Three Sentences of Serve…

Luke 1:68-75 (NIV)

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,

because he has come to his people and redeemed them.

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us

in the house of his servant David…

to enable us to serve him without fear

in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.”

Saved to serve.

Fearlessly.

Always.
