Karen Heiligenthal
Karen Heiligenthal has served Christ Community Church in Children’s Ministry for over 20 years. Karen graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a major in elementary education and a minor in music. She has been married to Harry for a long time! Together they have raised 4 children. Karen and Harry are delighted in their (currently) 8 grandchildren and are always up for a big family gathering with lots of food, games and laughter!
Karen believes that children, with their fresh and uninhibited curiosity, are among the most authentic people to worship and grow with. “They want to follow Him and they have all kinds of questions and concerns that benefit and refine me. I want others to discover that nurturing faith in kids is near to God’s heart and His Spirit will make much of what we do!”
