Engage the Spirit – Study #9
Engaging the Spirit’s Gifting
This Week’s Teaching Idea: The Spirit’s flow through each of us was Jesus’ actual expectation. His life like a fountain brings His life to us and to others.
GETTING STARTED
So much information comes-and-goes in our lives. Little of it actually lands; so much evaporates away. Peter wrote, “I intend always to remind you of these qualities (those which evidence personal spiritual growth), though you know them, and are established in the truth that you have” (2 Peter 1:12).
His point? What we choose to remind ourselves of, and that which we rehearse repeatedly, becomes what sticks and shapes us. To that end, this study REVIEWS what we’ve heard through the 9 weeks of the ENGAGE THE SPIRIT emphasis. Quick-Share: What truth or application re: the Holy Spirit stuck with you over the past 2 months?
IN THE WORD

MY LIFE – OUR MISSION
“Is the Spirit flowing through me?”
:The Spirit’s increasing flow through us is absolutely essential for the team of Christ Community Church to be very fruitful in our mission. We are out to connect disconnected people to life-defining (i.e., life-changing and shaping) relationships in Christ.
As we finish this Fall 60-Day emphasis on our #1 Life Question (“Is the Spirit flowing through me?”), spend some EXTENDED time in prayer
asking the Holy Spirit to take over in your life in a new way.
asking the Holy Spirit to identify for you someone who is currently disconnected from a Christ-centered life-defining relationship. Pray for that person if you already sense who he/she might be
asking the Holy Spirit to flow through you in the 9 ways identified above
