ASAP—Let’s Keep Coming Back

David Staff   -

An “acronym” is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word.  We use them all the time, but there are many more than we regularly use.  For example, do you use…?

  • AAP = Always a pleasure
  • AFAIAC = as far as I am concerned
  • PTWM – part time working mother
  • CNP = Child nutrition program
  • STR = Student Teacher Ratio
  • IJNTS = ?

There are thousands, too many to master for everyday use.

ASAP is familiar.  “As soon as possible.”  And I’ve put it as the title of this Update.

Why?  Because we are more and more eagerly inviting you back to the Christ Community Church campus to worship on Sunday mornings. Why?  Because as we have heard over and over and over again, “IJNTS” = “It’s just not the same.”  People who have been online for a lot of 2020 and are coming back say this without hesitation.  Worshipping separately at home in front of a screen doesn’t begin to afford the presence and joy of the Body being together in worship and fellowship.

IJNTS!

So, as you can and as the Spirit of God prompts, come back to in-person worship.  Especially at 10:45 AM (our 2nd Catalyst Gather hour).  There’s plenty of room as you dial up to register. Should we fill up, there’s a great overflow option.

“Let’s consider one another, to provoke unto love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner (or habit) of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Don’t ‘cha just love the KJV?  (= King James Version) 😊
