Hello everyone! Hope this finds you enjoying the summertime, the sunshine, maybe a little bit of a slower and relaxing pace of life, maybe some bbq and fresh fruit, some time at the pool or a
lake and definitely some DQ visits!
One of the words that has come to my mind as I have enjoyed some family and friend time over the past month is the word pleasant. I love that word and I think of the following verse…“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
Although my family is extremely busy with one of our daughters schedules and getting her ready to leave for Baylor July 5th, I find myself with one big fat word in my heart…thankful! Danny and I truly thank God for oh so much! Thank you to God is an understatement. Let me go back to this word pleasant!
This past year has had many changes, uncertainties, distractions and unknowns…but one thing that has not changed is the faithfulness of God and in His presence alone there is fullness of joy! I am reminded almost daily that when I am literally enjoying the beauty of God, the intricate details of His handwork in creation, the joy of the blessing of family and friends and the
dependence on Him for the unknown, it is there that I rest in His presence and receive deep joy within!
I’d like to pose this question. How do you enjoy God? Do you know that He loves you? Do you know that He delights in you? “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
We have so much of the summer left. Let’s encourage one another to take a look around to see the blessings and revelation of God Himself and enjoy communing with Him and being aware that in Him there truly is fullness of joy! May we taste and see that the Lord truly is good!
Next time you take a walk, sip some iced tea, enjoy spending time with family or friends, remember God has provided all of these simple things and may we be grateful for who He is to
each one of us uniquely.
Let’s be aware of His presence with us…for it is there that we find fullness of joy!
