A New Thing
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness. Isaiah 43:19
As we continue into this New Year, let’s remember that God is in control. We want to be surrendered to His control in what we do, say, act, and think.
As I wait for the snow to melt, wait for spring and the new flowers to start budding and growing, I am reminded of God’s love through the cold and bitter times. I’m reminded in the dark times that He always gives warmth from His love; a new thing is always there.
I was just thinking of how my husband and I have recently celebrated our 10 wedding anniversary, how we renewed our vows after 10 years, and how God gave us the opportunity to be able to renew our vows in front of Him. This was a new thing He provided for us.
I am also amazed by the way Jesus gave up his life for my sin! I am a new person in Jesus! Jesus is the only one that can make us new.
Oh, sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

I am looking forward to singing a new song in the spring, when new flowers begin to grow and start budding! My heart wants to sing a new song to Jesus, thanking him for the new things that He has created in the winter under the snow and how that is a picture of the new thing He does in us! May you be encouraged to sing to Him a new song today!
