Serve News…
Christ Community Church is holding the Fall Housewarming now. Can you please help me by passing along this information? Donations are really down this year and we would love to see a strong finish during the next couple of weeks.
The new international students who just arrived in Ames to attend ISU will benefit from the items that we collect. Please consider donating paper products, household goods, toiletries, cleaning supplies, grocery/gas gift cards or money to purchase these gift cards. We also are collecting any homemade items to pass out this fall plus at Christmas. Many of these new friends have never experienced winter and need warm weather gear.
The world has come to Ames. Please help us to bless and welcome these international students!
Contact Debbie Johnson at djfjohnson54@gmail.com if you have any questions. Items can be dropped off at the CCC office Monday-Thursday, or brought to church on Sunday morning. Look for the Fall Housewarming kiosk this coming Sunday, August 27th.
Something to Think About…
In the last year alone, the Bridge home has served over 3,740 people, with 13,900 nights of shelter, with more than 20,000 requests for assistance.
Three Sentences of Serve…
“To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.”
Proverbs 21:3
Outward cleansing, obedient action.
Neither saves.
Still, God has a preference.
