No matter if you’ve been attending one week or 10 years, we know that it can be difficult to get to know people informally. This is an excellent first step that doesn’t require lengthy commitments to classes or groups—and you can attend once or every week. We even provide fun “get-to-know-me” questions if you need them!

Our women have Bible study groups that meet on Wednesday evening or Thursday mornings that allow for time around tables to talk about God’s Word and pray for one another. There are larger events every semester, and even an exercise class on Thursday mornings.

This course is designed to help you understand how CCC “works.” Things like how our staff is structured, how we’re governed, the responsibilities of membership, etc. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with elders and leaders to ask the questions you need/want answered before formally joining our family.
We have a Discover Membership class every quarter. Check this link to our events page to see if we currently have one available.
These are groups designed to get you started with people in connect groups but aren’t sure they can commit to ongoing fellowship. They’re perfect for showing you how our groups work while allowing you to begin to see if your group wants to continue at the end of the term. Great for short studies, getting to know people, or people who don’t know if Ames will be their long-term home.

These are ongoing groups that are for people who want to live life in growing together in Christ over the long haul. They meet in area homes, led by church family members and are people who pray and study the Word and encourage each other in the highs and lows of life.

These are groups that consist of 3-4 people who desire accountability and encouragement by asking four simple questions: How were your rhythms this week? Where did you see God this week? Where did you miss God/fall short this week? And where do you need God next week. Huddle members meet for an hour each week and pray for each other during the week. Perfect for those who need more flexible scheduling.
