Arise and Work! The LORD be with you!
Rich Lepper and his work with Wings of Refuge
In my reading of 1 Chronicles recently, a major focus of the passage is David charging his young son Solomon with the work of building the temple. He wrote “With great pains I have provided for the house of the LORD.” And then he said, “You have an abundance of workmen: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and all kinds of craftsmen without number, skilled in working gold, silver, bronze, and iron. Arise and work! The LORD be with you!”
Our brother Rich Lepper has heard that call.
He has risen and worked—day after day—as a skilled workman. He has not always been surrounded by an abundance of workmen, but he has faithfully given himself to the building of an important work—a new home here in Ames for women in Wings of Refuge. These women, as you may know, have suffered horribly as victims of sex trafficking. And Rich’s quiet work will someday soon make a real difference in their lives.
Be encouraged as you listen to this video interview with Derek Hanson. And thank God for those like Rich who rise up and work!
