Lead Pastor Transition | Celebration Update
Christ Community Church Family,
Over the next two months, Pastor David Staff will be concluding his role as Lead Pastor of our body. Pastor David began his ministry with us in August of 1993. Just under 28 years later, the finish line of his ministry leadership with us is in sight.
Celebration and Thanking God for Pastor David
In the weeks ahead, we want to thank the Lord for the impact Pastor David has made during his tenure at Christ Community Church. Inevitably, this will be a bittersweet season for many in our body as we reflect on his years of excellent teaching, leadership, vision and desire to see people connected to life-defining relationships in Christ. Pastor David has celebrated and counseled us through countless events that have shaped our lives, and we are eager to say thanks in several creative ways.

Looking ahead
We are excited about the upcoming Easter weekend (April 2-4). We will call the body together on Good Friday evening for a special service. On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the resurrection of our Savior and witness the baptism of some 16 disciples spanning several generations.
NEXT: First Things First | From April 11 to May 16, Pastor David will offer a concluding Gather worship teaching series, a forward-looking exposition of Paul’s second letter to Timothy, the pastor of the Ephesian church.
Guest Teaching | On Sunday, May 23, Rev. Michael Shields, our EFCA Central District Superintendent will be speaking at our services in light of the leadership transition from Pastor David to Pastor Kyle. We are excited to hear from Mike as he speaks on the calling of our church body through this season.
Church Family Picnic | On the evening of Friday, May 28, from 6-8pm we will host a church-wide family picnic celebration as we thank Pastor David and Pamela. We will keep you posted on the details as they take shape.
Final Sunday | On Sunday morning, May 30, Pastor David will offer a final message from God’s Word to us and the church will host a Community Open House for friends and family in the afternoon.
Love Gift | The Missional Leadership Board is inviting you, should you feel so led, to be a part of a special financial love-gift to be presented to the Staffs as a part of that celebration.
