FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We would love to help find a place for you to connect. Please contact our Associate Director of Discipleship Abbey Stanton at astanton@ccames.org
Our groups range in size from 5-15 people and meet in people’s homes. We have groups for couples, men, women and blended groups (couples and singles).
It depends on the group. Some of the Connect Groups are “sermon-aligned” and study the previous weekend’s message. Some walk through a book of the bible together. Some do book studies. Click through each group on Church Center to discover more details about how each group studies the Word.
Connect group is like family, sometimes you talk, sometimes you listen. No one is forced to talk or to lead the group. We all move at a different pace, and you’re allowed to do just that.
No. Again, you’re allowed to move and grow at your own pace. If the time comes in your life where you feel you want to voice a prayer request, that’s well received. If the time comes when you’d like to lead in prayer, that is also well received.
Connect group is about learning the Bible, not debating it or being tested on it. Everyone has a different level of knowledge about the Bible, including people who are exploring it for the very first time.
Check out our connect groups on Church Center. You can search by demographic and meeting time to find one that works with your schedule and meets your current needs. Once you find one that works, click request to join. Shortly after, we will help connect you with that group!
We have an “easy on-ramp, easy off-ramp” approach. We know that it can take some time to find a group that works well for everyone. Join a group and stay for 6-8 weeks. If it’s a good fit, great! If not, we are happy to find a different group for you.
We are so glad you would like to take this next step in leading a group! Please email our Associate Director of Discipleship Abbey Stanton at astanton@ccames.org. She would be happy to walk you through next steps.
