Church Database Transition Update

Wayne Stewart   -
We’re in the last steps of transition to a new church database, migrating data into our new tool, Planning Center, and busy with staff training. The new tools will become active for all of our ministry events and groups throughout September. Much of this will function as behind the scenes work, but a few items you’ll want to note:

Personal/Contact Info

Nothing specifically to do at this time. It’s likely we’ll ask for a church-wide quick check of contact info sometime this fall (see directory question below).

Will this include a church directory?

Planning Center has recently added the option to publish a digital directory. No one is added to this directory without their approval. We’ll walk you through confirming and then making your info available (if desired), and how to access the directory later this fall.

Giving

First off, thanks so much for your ongoing commitment to the ministry of Christ Community Church. Please be assured your giving records are being transferred over completely, accurately, and privately. By the end of September, you can access your full giving history through the Planning Center Giving app, which will also produce your regular year-end statement.

Do you donate electronically but not on a recurring/scheduled basis?

Please continue to use the links on our church app or website. After 9/15, those links will go to Planning Center Giving and there will be a one-time log on process. We’ll provide instruction and support as we approach that date.

Do you donate electronically on a recurring/scheduled basis?

Because the previous giving platform will close midnight 9/15, you’ll need to set up a new recurring donation through Planning Center Giving, sometime on or after 9/16. We’ll communicate directly with you to provide instructions and support.

Do you donate by cash or check?

Beginning 9/13, secure giving boxes will be available at the back of our worship venues. You can drop your giving there anytime before or after services. Lastly, old-fashioned mail works great, as well.
Thank you everyone for working with us on this transition. We are very excited about how this will support all of our ministries at Christ Community Church.
